Post World War II Life Experience:

At the end of the war Denzil returned to Harrodsburg, KY and went to work as a butcher in the family business, Rogers Sausage Company. The business was founded and ran by his father. Denzil and his first wife Mary Bell had two children prior to the end of the war, Bill and Nancy. They added two more children before 1950, Danny and Doug.

Denzil used his GI Bill to purchase a house in Harrodsburg and continued to work in the family business until the late 1950s. He then worked as a carpenter.

Following a divorce from his wife, Denzil married Sue and moved to Indiana where he worked as a maintenance man for a motel. During this time, (1980,s) he became very involved with the Jehovah Witness Church and dedicated a lot of his time to church work in the later years of his life.

Denzil was an avid fisherman and hunter throughout his life. He was also a very active reader.

He retired to Florida in the late 90"and died there in 2003 of lung cancer.
